- Identify the hygiene requirements essential to safe and effective stoma care
- Apply best‑practice infection prevention and hygiene principles during stoma care
- Perform essential stoma care tasks safely and respectfully
- Recognise and manage common issues and challenges associated with stoma care
- Support individuals to participate in their own stoma care where appropriate
- Promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life when providing stoma support
- Apply client‑centred approaches in line with individual needs and care plans
