This 90-minute module is designed to build your knowledge and skills to confidently assist and support people to safely self-administer their medication, using a person-centred approach.

Module inclusions:

  • Consider the need to provide assistance and support to some people, particularly older adults, to safely self-administer their medication
  • Discover how to appropriately support and assist a person to self-administer their medication safely by following an appropriate framework such as the 8 Rights of Medication
  • Explore a person-centred approach to assist and support a person to take their medication
  • Improve your skills through self-assessment activities.
