In this module you will increase your awareness of the challenges and barriers faced by Australian families experiencing persistent joblessness, and the importance of breaking the cycle of disadvantage through social policies and programs.
Module inclusions:
- Intergenerational unemployment and joblessness and the consequences of being long term unemployed on the individual and for communities
- Breaking the cycle of disadvantage that arises out of joblessness, through interventions and strategies designed to support people into employment
- Examples of strategies and interventions that have been used successfully to support families and communities experiencing intergenerational unemployment.
